PERFORMANCE RELIABILITY SIMPLICITY
Doen is a leading designer and manufacturer of waterjet propulsion systems. These systems are focused on offering best-of-class waterjet products that excel in the harsh operating conditions of the commercial and military marine propulsion systems markets. Doen’s range of waterjets matches engine that are powered up to 6500kW. This means that you can be sure that Doen Waterjets has a product offering to suit your vessel – no matter how big or small.
For each waterjet model, you will have an array of control options to best suit different applications and budget requirements. These range from simple hydro-mechanical controls to a sophisticated, fully integrated electronic system with a single joystick-docking feature.
Doen’s promise is superior performance, excellent reliability and sheer simplicity of installation, operation and maintenance across their entire product range.
Doen Waterjets’ business philosophy revolves around giving you a competitive advantage and the lowest through-life cost of machinery ownership. Together with our global network of sales and service partners, we stand beside you and your customers throughout the design, construction and operation of vessels anywhere in the world.
SOUTHERN POWER FAVOURITES
DOEN’s latest impeller and compact hydrodynamic designed intake duct are used across these models to underpin excellent performance and load-carrying capacity. These models all use the transom-mount method that was pioneered by Doen Waterjets. This is a bespoke feature across the range. The transom mounting provides a high-strength, simple, precise and low-cost installation for all types of hull design and construction.
A hull insert is used to form the initial part of the intake tunnel. It also provides a strong and leak- proof mounting face for the waterjet so that it can be quickly and simply bolted onto the hull. The hull insert also provides a great deal of flexibility for the longitudinal position of waterjet in the hull, which is invaluable to designers who have to deal with confined inboard space.
This group of waterjets all use an optimised design intake duct which is made entirely from hull-matching material. This results in an extremely strong and lightweight structure. The installation method provides a high-strength, simple and precise integration of the intake duct into all types of hull design and construction.
Optima Series waterjets use Doen’s latest impeller technology to deliver mixed flow type, high-speed performance, within an axial build. This approach – together with hydrodynamically advanced intake geometry – combines the key benefits of exceptional high-speed performance with superior cavitation margins and excellent efficiency at lower speeds and cruise conditions together with extended component life and simple maintenance. This means that hence the cost of ongoing ownership is lower.
ELECTRONIC CONTROL SYSTEM
From RCS, ECS Lite to ECS400 and eDock
Combining the reverse and steering functions into one rugged system, waterjet propulsion provides for excellent manoeuvrability at high speeds in jet boats as well as low speeds. Waterjet propulsion provides for full manoeuvrability even when the boat is stationary.
Doen Waterjets offers a complete range of dedicated waterjet controls. These range from simple hydro-mechanical to sophisticated fully integrated electronic systems. Each waterjet model has several options to best suit different application and budget requirements.
